Jhonn de La Puente is a God fearing man first and foremost. He is a SAG-AFTRA Eligible award winning lead actor who is currently appearing in a national and international feature film called SECOND CHANCE. Mr. de La Puente in the film, embodies the role of ALPHA alongside international reggae artist and actor Spragga Benz and international award winning actress Merlissa Determined. Currently appears as JOE alongside Jamila C. Gray in the award winning feature film called American Girl who stars in a Sanaa Lathans new film On The Come Up. Mr. de La Puente after once being homeless founded, The Homeless Voices Plus +You Project," an organization dedicated to giving back to the homeless and uses the platform to help them voice their stories and bring light to the broken shelter system across the USA.. Harlem-born, Brooklyn-bred, Mr. de La Puente is a descendant of Dominican parents and he is a proud Afro-Latino who speaks, writes and reads Spanish fluently. He is a well-traveled man, spending time in the mountains of Lima, Peru, Paris, France, Venice, Italy, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, and countless states in the United States. Traveling has given him the experience and understanding of different cultures in countries abroad and within the New York City boroughs. He grew up in The Dominican Republic as a child, then moved to Washington Heights, and finally finding a permanent home in Crown Heights Brooklyn, NY during his teenage years and adulthood. And now resides in Atlanta, GA as his home. As a writer, he is the author of "101 Ways to Motivation and Success in 1 Hour," Think and Grow in Your Timeand the author of the soon to be release and much anticipated book, "Think and Grow in Your Gift" due out soon. He is an actor, media content creator, published photographer, activist, book philanthropreneur. Jhonn serves as the CEO of Jhonn de La Puente Photography and Video and is the owner of ShuaNaya Publishings, a named inspired by his two children Jah'Shua and Jah'Naya. Jhonn served as VP of Public Relations and VP of Membership for the LIU Toastmasters Club in Brooklyn, NY. He successfully ran a few out-of-the-box businesses. From an independent record label, to a medical waste pick up business, a magazine company, where he served as Editor in Chief, then a cell phone storage business for high school students in New York City, which he ran for four years called Safe "N" Secure Cellutions, LLC. Due to his faith, determination and work ethic, Mr. de La Puente has appeared in a few local and national commercials, world wide TV shows, as well as print media, newspapers, radio and magazines, including: The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, NPR news, ESSENCE magazine and ONYX magazine. He is also a contributing writer for Triumphant Magazine in Orlando, FL and has appeared on a few Atlanta based magazines such as Voyage Atlantic and Canvas Rebel magazine. Mr. de La Puente listens to all genre's of music, loves fast and tall roller coasters, sky diving, bungee jumping, reading and writing. Despite all his accolades and accomplishments the one thing he is proud of and loves is being a father to his two children. His motto is: If if opportunity doesnt knock, allow God to build a few doors and run thru them.
