I have known since my first film and broadcast journalism class in 7th grade that I wished to work in film and storytelling industry. Over the last five summers, I have worked in pre-, post-, and set production for feature films, television production companies, documentary production company's and several short form media productions. On these varying productions, I have worked as a general production assistant, key PA, script supervisor, pre-production producer and post-production editor, among other titles.
I have also shot, directed and edited two independent documentaires. One for the Child Welfare League of America (CWLA), which premiered the week of March 27th at the CWLA National Conference in Washington, is beginning a screening tour. The second, my senior thesis documentary, which is based on one familys experience in America after the Holocaust, and has received High Honors and the Grant-Wilcox Aware for Excellence at Wesleyan Universtiy. Both of these projects have reinforced my passion for real-world storytelling and filmmaking. For both these projects, and others that I have been a part of, I have worked with a Canon 5D, C100 and the SONY A7S. I also have done all my own post work in Premiere.
After studying and living abroad last year, I recognized that my spirit lies in seeing the worlds places and meeting the worlds people, and then sharing their stories. It was that realization, matched with my passion to make positive change, that helped me determine that story-journalism and documentary filmmaking was my true calling. My dream and desire is to contribute to the world by sharing important stories, whether simple and ordinary or dramatic and extraordinary.

Director & Editor at Independent/Freelance Documentarian
Contracted to shoot, direct and edit a feature length documentary sponsored by the Child Welfare League of America and the NY State Kinship Navigator about Kinship Care in America. The goal of the film is to shine light onto one of the most common forms of caregiving in America, yet one of the least recognized or supported: kinship care. Kinship care occurs when relatives, often the grandparents, take the role of parent for children whose parents are unable to provide adequate care. Kinship care is not as well recognized as foster care, which is the formal non-kin centered caregiving system that receives significant governmental funding, even though Kinship Care accounts for a significantly greater amount of caregiving families. The work will be premiered in March, 2017.
