Its hard to list all of the things I have done in my free time that would count as formal experience in the field of engineering I am pursuing. These projects mostly involved applying knowledge that I acquired from school to computer simulated environments to achieve a more complete understanding of what is being taught. An example would be applying simple physics to try and intercept missiles with designated intercept vehicles. At the time, I had not taken calculus, let alone even knew the basics of vectors, but yet I had discovered the underlining rules that governed perfect intercept equations. I had taught myself the programming involved, discovered the mathematical concepts that were missing from the basic high school courses, and were in the process of forming my own rules for vector calculus before I had even reached college. This is what I want people to know about me, I am in this field because I love engineering. So much so that I would find the underlining rules to something I haven't been taught yet to achieve success, even if it's just some computer simulation. Going the extra mile for a slightly greater understanding of a complex subject is what I do daily.
