James Vital

Hello My name is James Vital, I am a graduate from the University with a B.S. in Informatics with a concentration in Cyber Security and I am currently at looking for a full-time position in the cybersecurity field. Continuous education and research have allowed me to remain up-to-date on the current methods of threat operation that most companies face on second by second basis. I have had recent experiences working in a team guided by representatives from organizations like Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, Chase, and Cap Gemini in identifying cyber security threats. The utilization of the NIST Cybersecurity framework, NIST 800-53 and ISO 27002 standards were instrumental in learning how to Identify and Protect assets. This experience allowed me to further develop my team work and leadership skills which are soft skills that are very important in industry today. I believe that my understanding of controls, policies, and procedures as they relate to Cybersecurity will allow me to become a promising asset. I am looking for opportunities in the Albany, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut area.
