Kim Jonquille Hodge, is the first Registered Vascular Specialist for the Marcus Stroke and Neuroscience Center, at Grady Health System. She evaluates blood flow supplying the brain on patients with traumatic brain injuries and other neurologic symptoms. Kim's expertise serves Vascular Neurology, Neuroendovascular, Neurosurgery, Neurointensivist, Vascular Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Trauma Surgery and Hematology/Sickle Cell service lines. She has not only helped train other technologists but also is integral with educating stroke fellows and residents at Grady. As founder and director of Celebrate Our Children Foundation, her vision is that children will visualize and realize their goals and dreams through diverse personal, social, cultural and entrepreneurial experiences. Kim also sits on the board of the Hank Stewart Foundation and is the coordinator for their annual Health Fair, she volunteers with The Guyana Association of GA, and The Caribbean American Heritage Coalition. She has contributed to and been featured in online magazines such as Trend to Trend. As founder of Emotional Energy Enterprises, LLC. Kim empowers women on how to create their new self through art and make an immediate and lasting impact on their lives. She has earned a degree in Psychology and has received the 2015 Living Legend and 2015 Excellence in Community Service Awards as well as the honor of being named Whos Who in Black Atlanta 2016.

Vascular Technologist at Grady Health System
Develop and maintain Neurovascular Ultrasound lab. Perform quality assurance monitoring of reports which produces high-quality images for referring physicians. Created user friendly preliminary reports for exams that reduced production time. Achieved departmental goals and objectives by instituting new processes and standards for in-patient and out-patient care. Increased vascular lab productivity 75%. Supervise staff and provide training and orientation to staff, fellows and residents to provide top-quality patient care. Schedule and confirm appointments for patients, customers, or vendors. Create and manage electronic filing systems, record information, update paperwork and maintain accreditation records and correspondence. Operate Carotid and Transcranial Doppler ultrasound machines and arrange for repairs when equipment malfunctions.

Prepares patients for and conducts various neurodiagnostic and neurosonographic procedures such as routine & stat inpatient and outpatient TCD & Carotid Doppler studies in The Neuroscience center (ICU), as well as the Neurovascular Lab. Perform and analyze Emboli & Vasospasm monitoring. Scans traumatic brain injury, stroke, heart and vascular disease patients. Provides supportive patient care and detailed observations of emergency situations. Collects patient information pertinent to the interpretation of the neurodiagnostic procedures Orients and trains affiliate students, residents, medical students, etc, and provides technical assistance. Determines proper procedures for testing; performs related clerical duties.
