Katie Higgins
Miami University , Class of 2015
From Brunswick, Ga.
I have worked in the field as a biologist, educator and ornithologist for the first twenty years of my career. Most recently, I am a mother of two smart and active daughters and the Education Coordinator at a center dedicated to the rehabilitation and conservation of sea turtles, the Georgia Sea Turtle Center. I applied to the Global Field Program because it fit with my working mother profile and my constant dedication to learning more about conservation and how to best contribute my energy towards bettering my small part of the world.
