I am in charge of basics husbandry of Dogs and Cats that are boarding or at the clinic for hospitalization reasons. As a kennel assistant I am also responsible for cleaning and making sure areas are cleaned up the best that I can. Being able to safely restrain dogs and cats for the safety of the animal, myself and the Veterinarian or Veterinary Technician I am working with. As both kennel assistant and Veterinary technician assistant I am the second person a client will typically be talking to so being able to communicate clearly and effectively is critical. When talking to clients I usually will have to help the Veterinarian with client communication and education on their pets.
