Kelly Clark

I am currently pursuing my Masters Degree in Forensic Psychology, driven by a deep commitment to ethical practice, social justice, and meaningful change within the criminal justice system. My long-term goal is to work alongside the courts in Mississippi to strengthen the corrections system by improving the treatment, assessment, and understanding of individuals involved in the justice process. I believe everyone deserves fairness, dignity, and a chance at rehabilitation, and I hope to contribute to a system that reflects those values. I plan to continue my education by earning my PhD in Forensic Psychology, becoming the first doctor in my family. This goal is both personal and generational; I hope to honor those who came before me by building a future that reflects their sacrifices and my aspirations. I am also deeply committed to advancing research on Autism Spectrum Disorder. This passion is personal for me because my daughter is neurodivergent, and she inspires me every day. She deserves a world that not only understands but fully accepts her, and I am dedicated to helping create that change. Through research and advocacy, I hope to contribute to a more compassionate and informed understanding of ASD, especially within systems that impact vulnerable populations. At my core, I am motivated, empathetic, and curious. I bring a warm and personable spirit to my academic and professional pursuits, and I strive to make a meaningful impact wherever I go. I am excited to continue growing, learning, and working toward a career that blends compassion with meaningful change.
