Community Leadership Team

As president of Thomson Hall's CLT, I organized activities and events for the dorm, hosted weekly meetings, and met biweekly with the residence hall's graduate assistant. I also met with students and got opinions to help make general life improvements to the dorm.

Members of this organization helped freshmen integrate into the school. As it can be a stressful change going into high school, our job as leaders was to help make them feel more comfortable and familiar with the building and have a sense of community. We hosted two full days with the freshmen at the beginning of the year and met biweekly with our assigned class to do presentations.

National Honors Society

This organization is based on four different "pillars," that being: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. My focus was primarily on service, as volunteering has been a big emphasis. While in NHS, I participated in cleaning the rivers at our local nature centers, working food drives for those in need, providing help for teachers and the athletics departments, etc.
