I chose biology as my major because it gives me the opportunity to learn about the human body, cells, genetics, and marine life, which interest me. In the future, if it's Gods willing, I will be an emergency room doctor.

Tutoring Assistant

During the school year every day after school, a tutoring club was formed where student tutors were assigned to help students behind in their classes. I was a tutor of math, English and Spanish. We did great work by helping and encouraging others.

Spanish Honor Society

I was a member of the Spanish honor society at Hackensack high school. We organized a union of Latinos and people dominant in the Spanish language to create a society. We participated in blood drives, helping the poor, and doing fun activities for the school.

Medical Club

This club conducted blood drives with the American Red Cross. We organized an opportunity for members to have field experience. Our meeting consisted of discussions about the medical field and about illnesses in the world.

Work Experience

Recreational Aide at Hackensack Meridian Health Prospect Heights Care Center

I was a recreational aide. I was responsible for conducting activities to help the elderly feel at ease. It was an interesting job that gave me access to the medical world.
