Kimberly Rico

Born and raised in Levelland,TX and part of the graduating class of 2006.I am currently studying for my Associates in Accounting. Although my academic journey is not complete I am proud of this small accomplishment. I am the wife of an amazing man Steven Rico and proud mother of 3 beautiful girls, believe it or not I have two daughters in high school this year(one of them graduating in 2021) and my little one will be in elementary.I returned to SPC to show my girls that momma is "no quitter". I attempted college in 2006 and gave up after a year, you see in high school I wasn't sure if I was going to graduate making college not so much of a reality. I became a young mother not once but twice and as a minority the odds were against me, the struggle was real--But I made it happen with the support of my family. With the continued support from my little family I persevered every step of the way. I learned to jump at opportunities and educate myself in other ways leading into my career in the financial industry. I currently work for Hockley County, and I plan to continue my career with them. My overall goal with my financial background is to educate families in financial awareness and financial freedom. I hope my journey has inspired or motivated "Mom's" and/or young people to work hard and not give up and to continue learning however you choose, because I believe knowledge is power.
