REACT to FILM engages in research and curriculum development for Middle and High Schools, providing them with educational resources and support for courses on social issues through documentary films.

Working alongside Graduate Coordinators, Studio ASPMs facilitate a weekly 90-minute session called Studio. Studio is designed for students to practice, reflect, and develop the skills essential to engaging in the craft of successful academic study. Studio ASPMs plan and facilitate activities that allow students to assess academic strengths, identify areas for development, and practice core academic skills. Studio ASPMs also assist students in creating a virtual learning community through e-Portfolio by sharing work-in-progress and commenting and reflecting on student work. Specific Responsibilites: Meet regularly with assigned Graduate Coordinator to plan weekly Studio sessions. Co-facilitate a weekly 90-minute Studio session. Provide feedback to students via e-Portfolio. Attend weekly Studio team meetings. Attend monthly all-staff in-service meetings. Hold office hours in the Peer Mentoring room for Direct Connect sessions. Discuss students’ personal/academic issues affecting their academic progress; make referrals as necessary. Submit a bi-weekly e-Portfolio reflection regarding the mentoring experience and personal growth. Meer bi-weekly with your supervisor. Serve on at least one Peer Mentoring committee.
