Majoring in Electrical Engineering
Oregon Institute of Technology, Class of 2019
From Glendale, AZ
I am a Senior in the Masters in Electrical Engineering and Robotics program at Oregon Tech, with experience in circuit building and design, mathematics, and programming. I have always known I wanted to be an Engineer. My first semester in college, I started off as a Civil Engineering major. I wanted to be involved with the architectural process or the creative design of buildings and bridges, but through math and science. However, after finishing the semester, I craved to know more about the smaller details, the mechanics and physics, and changed my major to Computer Engineering. Coding and graphic design were side hobbies of mine, so I figured this is the major I should be in. Then I got introduced to hardware. Quickly, I became fascinated with the inner workings of computers. I needed to learn more about the individual electronic components that give computers functionality. Robots, computers, and automation: I wanted to be a part of it. With one final major change, Electrical Engineering became my permanent path. With this major I knew I could go beyond just computer hardware. In this major I know there are no limits to what I could create.
