Kurt Winkelmann

I am fortunate to work with dedicated and caring faculty in the VSU Chemistry and Geosciences Department. They share my passion for chemistry and helping students. My research interests include chemistry and chemical education. My academic training is in physical chemistry, especially photocatalysis and nanomaterials. I also pursue projects related to understanding how students learn chemistry in the laboratory - both real world and virtual settings. I enjoy teaching first-year students because I can help them gain an appreciation for chemistry early in college. I also teach nanotechnology lab and physical chemistry courses.
