Kynthia James joined the Valdosta State University faculty in 2010. She holds a Post Master's Certificate from Albany State Universtiy, a Master of Nursing from the University of Phoenix, a Bachelor of Nursing from Thomas College, and an Associate Degree Nursing from Darton College. She is a licensed Registered Nurse in Georgia, a certified Family Nurse Practitioner, a Clinical Nurse Leader, and Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse. She holds membership and sits on the Executive Board in the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing Epsilon Pi Chapter. She previously taught at Southwest Georgia Technical College and University of Phoenix. Prior to entering the field of higher education, she worked as a staff nurse in the medical-surgical unit and critical care unit at Grady General Hospital, and a Staff RN at Archbold Medical Center.
