Ms. Williams, a December 2017 graduate of Widener Law Commonwealth, is currently a Law Clerk with the Law Office of Aaron Holt where she specializes in post-conviction relief research and writing. She is also currently a Certified Legal Intern with the Lehigh County Public Defender's Office.
Prior to joining Attorney Holt, she was a Legal Assistant with the Law Office of Damian J DeStefano where she assisted with the day-to-day operations of the criminal and family law practice and drafted routine criminal court pleadings. She was previously a Research Analyst II with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for 8 years. There, she analyzed, evaluated, and used collected data to draft bills, bill analyses, and amendments to proposed and existing law. Her additional duties included coordinating public relations events, traveling to state prisons to interview prison officials and prisoners regarding alleged civil rights violations and briefing legislators on policy and statutory law.
Ms. Williams has used her policy background in her role as an adjunct sociology instructor for the Community College of Philadelphia. Her past work experience spans different companies that work in the public policy and legal disciplines. She began her career as a legal assistant with the Defender Association of Philadelphia. Other noteworthy work experience includes engagements with PHMC as an Early Intervention Specialist, the Juvenile Justice Center of Philadelphia as a Therapeutic Support Staff person, and Elevated Advocacy as a post-conviction litigation consultant.
Ms. Williams has extensive post-conviction litigation support experience and has provided countless hours of volunteer consultant work for indigent criminal defendants during post- conviction litigation.
Ms. Williams plans to practice in the area of criminal law and estate planning.
