Lauren Miller

I am a stay-at-home wife and mother at the moment, looking to get back into the workforce. My children are older now and I feel that the timing is right for me to pursue a fulfilling and meaningful career that better enables me to care for my family, and that involves helping others to achieve their goals. I Graduated from Southern Regional Technical College with a 3.87 GPA with an Associate's degree in Business Management, and I am currently a student at VSU pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with my areas of focus being Business Management, Office Administration & Technology, and Psychology (mainly focusing on psychology as it applies to educational settings and the workplace), and I am minoring in Spanish. After my Bachelor's degree, I plan to pursue my Master's degree in Library and Information Sciences and a Minor in Deaf Studies. My ideal job would be a position working in the educational system or a library, assisting others in their efforts to educate themselves and reach their goals. I am particularly passionate about working with those who speak English as a second language, the disadvantaged, and the disabled. I plan to tailor my educational pathway at VSU around being able to pursue a career that allows me to do that.
