Activities

Dance Marathon

I raised $612.00 for the University of Dance Marathon and participated in the Big Event on February 6th and 7th, where eligible dancers stand for 24 hours with no caffeine and hours of dancing. Dancers may only participate in the Big Event if they raise over $500.

Hawkeye Marching Band

I have rehearsals 4-5 days & 8+ hours per week. As Librarian, I am in charge of printing and distributing music to the 250 member band each week, assisting the work crew in uniform distribution/collection, and set-up for rehearsals. I also print and distribute music for the University of Iowa Symphony, Concert, University and honor bands. As section leader, I am in charge of weekly sectional rehearsals, game day preparation & attendance, and correcting marching fundamentals in all members.

Work Experience

Music Teacher at Central DeWitt Intermediate School

I assisted camp residents and commuters to and from classes. I assisted in the set-up and tear down of camp activities as well as entertaining campers with musical and athletic camp games. Watching over camp residents in the residence halls, in classes, and around campus were also part of my duties.
