Tyler Latshaw

As a very hard working senior at Elizabethtown College, I have been inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society and will be inducted into the National Society for Leadership this upcoming December. Additionally, I have also received the prestigious Leader on the Horizon award given to a first year or sophomore student embodying leadership qualities and have been nominated for the Distinguished Student Award. Outside of my academics, I am involved in student government as the Senior Class Treasurer, a position I pride myself in as I have been in Student Senate since my first year. This semester I am currently interning at the Colleges Office of Marketing and Communications as a Web Designer tasked with transitioning the offices website from the old design to the new website design, after interviewing all of the members of the office staff to see what they need the most out of the website. I came into this position extremely prepared due to my extensive coursework in web design, database systems, and graphic design and have been granted level 9 (out of 10) permissions in the Assistant Administrator role. Throughout my academic and personal experience at Elizabethtown College I have pushed myself farther than ever before by continuing my computer science projects beyond the requirements, ultimately learning more, and by forcing myself out of my comfort zone by going to two National Collegiate Honors Council conferences and even presenting at the national conference last year in Chicago.
