Laura Phillips

Laura holds a Master's Degree in English with certification in Teaching of Writing and TESOL as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with an Emphasis in Theater from Youngstown State University NAST Accredited College of Performing Arts; She is a retired Detective Sergeant having served 15 years in multiple departments and receiving, in that time, certifications in Hostage Negotiations, Peace Officer Instructor, and Undercover Narcotics Investigation among others.  Laura lives in Ohio with her husband and children and enjoys giving back to her community through volunteering in the local community theaters across the valley.  Laura is also a member of The Blue Knights Motorcycle Association, a national club open only to active and retired law enforcement officers and their spouses, that works locally to benefit various needs across the community.
