Lauren Maloney was recognized for earning a scholarship

I received the Chartwells Scholarship from the Edina Education Fund. This scholarship was only given to two students of my graduating class who showed interest in the field of Nutrition. I was required to answer multiple short essay questions about my interest in Nutrition as well as my history with it in order to qualify and recieve said scholarship.

Ski team manager

As the Manager of the varsity boys and girls alpine ski team I attended weekly ski meets and was in charge of distributing bibs and times for races as well as supporting the coaches and helping whenever needed during practice and meets, whether it be with filming practices or cleaning up after practice or helping to collect bibs from racers after their races.

Paws for A Cause

As a member of the Pawsitive Influences club I visit Animal Friends Humaine Society as well other shelters that this club has partnered with to help clean out the enclosures of animals living at the shelters as well as spend time with the animals and help them adjust to their current environment. Each hour spent at the shelter counts as volunteer hours.

Concessions worker at Edenborough Park at City of Edina, Minnesota

As a concessions worker I was responsible not only for the upkeep of the conessions booth but also the cooking of foods and fostering positive interactions with customers when working the cash register.

Shift lead at nautical bowls

As a shift lead I am not only in charge of closing and or popening the store, I also balance the till, do dishes, sweep, mop, and make sure to help out my coworkers whenever needed. I also interact with customers at the cash register as well as scoop and top bowls during my shifts.

Head Lifeguard at Lifegaurd

As a head guard I am the person that all other on duty guards look to for intruction during an emergency. I am also in charge of making sure that the pool deck is clean and that the other guards are completing their duties. I fold towels and interact with members constantly when not on the stand as I am also responsible for fostering relationships with the members at the country club I work for.
