I have been a designer and model for the Ames High Fashion Show all through high school. Sophomore through senior year I was an executive for the show and I was the main organizer and leader for the 2017 show. I ran cross country and played golf all four years of high school, and became a leader for younger girls on both teams. I have been in Girl Scouts since first grade and have gone to camp every year. I began the leadership and counselor training program for Camp Tanglefoot the summer after 8th grade through the summer after 10th grade. The 2016 and 2017 summers I also worked as a counselor at Tanglefoot. This further helped develop my leadership skills. I took German for four years in high school and am continuing to take it in college. I hosted three German students and travelled abroad to Germany in 2016 to learn about the German culture and language. I hope to own my own clothing company that focuses on athletic, casual, and leisure wear. I hope to teach young people how to sew, do philanthropic work with my business, and incorporate ethical business practices.

I mentor younger girls and help work on self-confidence, positive attitude, positive body image, and many camp skills including canoeing strokes, how to do archery, fire building, cooking over a camp fire, etc.
