Assisting Staff Attorneys and Labor Representatives:
- Notifying the employer of an expiring contract
- Requesting Mediation from the Labor Board or the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service
- Filing Contracts (CBAs), Grievances, Representation Petitions, etc. with the Labor Board
- Updating contract drafts and wage scales
- Print, bind and mail Appellate Briefs
- Maintain record of open and closed cases
- Maintaining the office law library

Basic Receptionist Duties
- Answering and directing calls on a multi-line phone system
- Answering the doorbell of a secure building
- Responding to e-mails received throughout the day
- Refilling paper and toner in the printer, copier and fax machine
- Sorting and delivering mail
- Sending invoices, statements and payments to the Association Treasurer

Basic Office Maintenance
- Filling humidifiers and emptying dehumidifiers
- Taking inventory and restocking office supplies
- Checking and replacing air filters

Member Communication
- Answering members questions via phone and e-mail
- E-mailing our membership regarding legislative news, upcoming events & deadlines
- Maintaining mailing lists

Misc. Duties
- Assisting the Executive Board and units with event planning and promotion
- Taking photos at different events to be used in the Associations quarterly publication
- Printing postage and envelopes using stamps.com
- Processing merchandise orders
