As a Music Performance and Sociology undergraduate at the University of Puget Sound, I am developing my skills as a vocal performing artist, writer, and academic. Fueled by innate curiosity and a desire to grow, I am building a passion-driven life that has contributed to my success. One of my greatest loves is celebrating the performing arts and their potential to create positive change and human connection. Winner of The Puget Sound Concerto Aria Competition
The University of Puget Sound Concerto-Aria Competition is a "highly competitive program" that highlights the work of musical soloists at the institution. I was selected as a winner for my performance of "Ah! Je Veux Vivre" from Romo et Juliette by Charles Gounod, "Ach Ich Fhls" from "Die Zauberflte" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and "Spiel ich die Unschuld vom Lande" from Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss II.

Gender, Self-Identity, and Vocal Music Education: Student Experiences at the University of Puget Sound in the 1990s
Independent, undergraduate music education research examining the experiences of Puget Sound vocalists in the 1990s. My scholarship examines the production of gendered musical hierarchies in the undergraduate music institution and potential impacts upon the musical and personal identities of undergraduate vocalists. Methodology includes participant interviews, archival research, and literature review in music education, sociology, gender studies, voice studies, and choral studies.
