Serve as a mentor and advisor for 10 Resident Advisors, while enforcing Campus Living policies and overseeing the success of community for two buildings of residential students (~300)
Utilized organizational and public speaking skills to create and present information on policy and schedule to educate Resident Advisors about critical issues
Assist in the selection, evaluation, and training of incoming Resident Advisors

Provide a welcoming, safe environment and connect with residents, staff members, and the overall college community

Orchestrate useful, educational, and fun programs for resident enjoyment

Take lead in resident and building-wide emergencies including lockouts and police responses

The role of an energetic and enthusiastic leader to help first-year students succeed at Cedar Crest College and as the primary leader of a Falcon Group from SOAR throughout the cohorts entire first year at Cedar Crest. Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining relationships with and providing assistance and support for first-year students (focus on a smooth transition, acclimation and a sense of belonging), participating in training, programs and activities, and working together with other FYE Mentors in a supportive environment.
