Air Force Junior Reserves for Officer Training

A leadership organization dedicated to creating citizens of character. Affiliated with the Air Force but not required for students to go into the military. This involved classes in the science and history of flight, aerospace science, global studies as well as leadership education. We also do a lot of community service which includes, volunteering at community events, adopting/cleaning a highway and working NIU's football concessions stand.

I have done choir all four years. My freshman year I was in the freshman treble choir Bel Canto, My sophomore year I was in the intermediate treble choir Lyric Chorus as well as a treble A Capella pop group Acabelles and my junior and senior years I was in the top choirs of my school A Capella choirs and Madrigal Singers.

Blackhawk Marching Band

Mini camp during the summer which usually consisted of multiple 5-hour rehearsals and 1 or 2 9-hour rehearsals, pre season camp which consisted of 5 9-hour rehearsals then lot's of 3 hour rehearsals before settling in to 2, 2 and a half hour rehearsals every week as well as football games on fridays and sometimes parades on weekends.

Freshman Year I was an actor in the winter play and a makeup manager in the musical, sophomore year I was props master in the winter play, acted in winter one acts and ensemble in the musical, junior year I student directed the winter play and ensemble in the musical and my senior year I student directed the winter play and ensemble in the musical.

Kirkland Fine Arts Center Usher at Millikin University

Within my job I have multiple responsibilities and job descriptions
In house Usher
Greet and welcome audience members as well as hand out programs. During the performance we observe audience members to make sure no one causes any disturbances and once the show is over we send guests off with a smile. Once the house is cleared then we sweep the rows to make sure all the seats are clean and ready for the next show

Gallery Watcher
There is an art gallery within Kirkland Fine Arts Center and the gallery watcher makes sure that patrons do not disturb or vandalize the art.

Ticket Taker
Ticket takers scan in tickets of the patrons as well as stay outside during the performance and makes sure that patrons only enter and exit during breaks in performance

Parking Manager
Making sure that patrons find parking spaces and ensuring that no one parks in the reserved parking unless they are one of the people who reserved parking.
