Project Title: Low Nicotine Content Cigarettes: Women of Childbearing Age, Extended Exposure
Undergraduate research assistant for the Vermont Tobacco Center of Regulatory Science (TCORS) center's NIH-FDA clinical trial investigating the 12-week use of reduced nicotine content cigarettes in three different vulnerable populations: female smokers of childbearing age, smokers currently maintained on buprenorphine or methadone, and smokers diagnosed with anxiety and/or depression.
Works closely with the center's research team and assists full time staff with a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
- Cigarette blinding and tracking procedures
- Prescreening potential participants for projects 1, 2, and 3
- Scheduling and communicating with participants
- Data and double data entry using RedCap, Access, and Excel
- Filing, organization, document management, and paperwork
- Day to day participant needs during sessions (I.e. walking participants to blood draws, prepping paperwork, etc.)
The Vermont Center on Behavior and Health (VCBH) is an interdisciplinary center of research excellence focusing on behavioral health, tobacco-use and other substance abuse behaviors.
Supports faculty and assists with administrative functions within the VCBH including but not limited to: filing, records management, photocopying, data entry, editing, scheduling and calendar management, scanning, report and financial data preparation, office organization, word processing, and developing and maintaining spreadsheets and documents.
Assists with the organization and preparation of special projects including the 2015, 2016, & 2017 Annual VCBH National Conferences and VCBHs Monthly Lecture Series.
Delivers forms to various buildings on-campus and prepares paperwork for mailing
