Study Abroad Trip to Ghana
Along with 19 other students from Baldwin Wallace University, during the 21 day educational experience in Ghana, we visited the cities of Accra, Kumasi, and the Volta Region. I experienced the music, dance, and traditional practices of the Ghanaian culture. My experience abroad will took me to markets and visits with the people of local villages. I visited and experience the wonder of the beaches, and a monkey sanctuary. I have vivid memories of traveling to the former slave castles Cape Coast and Elmina, and taking in West Africa's highest rain forest canopy walkway at Kakum National Park . In addition to it being my first travel out of the country and the exposure to an international culture, this experience rounded out my academic studies and deepen my learning and understanding of my major.

International Model African Union (IMAU)
I conducted my research under the supervision of Judy Krutky Ph.D., the Director of Intercultural Education at Baldwin Wallace University. Students participating as mock delegates conduct research as an illustration of factors determining the behavior of assigned country in intergovernmental organizations. Upon completion of research, students participate in Howard University's International Model African Union. This is an opportunity for university students to study a delegators role, committee structure, and activities of the African Union including the economic, social, and political-security issues facing African countries.
