Maggie Gutwein

B.S., Sports and Recreation Management, Event Management Concentration. With being a member of the University of Iowa's Women's Cross Country and Track teams I have acquired an eminent amount of traits being in the classroom to on the track. A great deal of traits are formed from both being in the classroom and on the track that I take into both settings, communication, teamwork, and leadership that have formed many skills which go into furthering my coursework. Having a balance with my coursework and being a student athlete has shown me the true value of wanting to pursue a career in the sports industry. With having a concentration on Event Management I had the opportunity to intern for the Best Western Plus Brandywine Inn & Suites allowing me to gain experience in my concentration of Event Management in their Convention Center section of the hotel.
