Mahoghany Dolberry

I'm a freshman at Miami University. As a Psychology and Pre-med major with a Global Health Studies minor I hold 3 attributes high at all times: Passion, Will,and Courage. -Passion: I knew I wanted to pursue a Psychology major since I was a freshman in high school, I started doing research sophomore year, was a certified researcher completing my own research junior year, and competed in numerous state fair competitions, all of which took time, effort and was very stressful but every day that I learned something knew my passion and yearning to know more kept me going. -Will: I plan on pursuing a career in the medical field as a Neonatal physician. This specialty comes with a lot of hardships due to the nature of the patients that I'd be working with and because of that I know i must remain strong willed not only once I am a Neonatologist but while pursuing it. -Courage: With my minor in Global Health Studies I hope to pull myself out of my own comfort zone in traveling to other places and studying the ways in which the health field works and places it needs improvement. This minor encourages me to look at global issues and come up with creative, innovative, and progressive solutions.
