Hello, all! I am Marci Brockmann. I am 54 and from Kings Park, NY on Long Island's north shore. I was raised with a significant amount of emotional trauma and through therapy, journaling, meditation, and art learned to survive my mothers opiate addiction and self-medicated bipolarity. I am happily married to my second husband. I have two children, two stepchildren, and 5 step-grandchildren. I have been a high school English teacher for 27 years and I love my job and the relationships I am able to build with my students. I am also an artist, an author of a memoir titled Permission to Land and the companion journal with the same title, and the host of a podcast called Permission to Heal that focuses on mental health, wellness, and healthy relationships with ourselves and others. My mission is to inspire everyone to give themselves permission to be their authentic selves, to be relentlessly self-compassionate, to heal and focus on our dreams and build the rich, abundant life we deserve.
