Serving as my summer job in my hometown, I work with the Frisco Independent School District updating, installing, fixing, and reworking all technology devices throughout all the schools in the district. I work with multiple head of departments, completing a wide variety of assignments.
My role as an intern at the firm has included many responsibilities, including document scanning and archiving, maintaining case files, and preparing deposition notes. I have also had the privilege of witnessing client meetings and legal hearings, providing me with firsthand insight into the life of a practicing attorney and preparing me for a professional environment I hope to immerse myself in the future. I work closely with a team of 14 board-certified attorneys and 10 paralegals, all of whom have generously involved me in active case contributions. This internship has allowed for my professional development and has deepened my understanding of legal practice.
Serving as my part-time job, umpiring for my local Rec softball league has allowed me to have an impact on the young kids around me and also expand my knowledge of the sport I love. This has allowed me to improve upon my communication skills and confidence. Working as an umpire, you are sometimes forced to settle disputes between coaches or with coaches who dont agree with your call. I have umpired various age groups, some select games, and tournaments.
