The Center for Diversity and Enrichment (CDE) provides a wide variety or resources and events for minority students at the University of Iowa and strives to help those students fit in and succeed. As a student worker, I am knowledgeable about the Advantage Iowa scholarship requirements as well as everything our office has to offer; promptly greet students as they enter the office; handle appointments, phone calls, emails, and mail; help with events put on through our office and program the attendance and feedback for them into FileMaker Pro and Excel; update bulletin boards and flyers; and clean up office- refill printers, tidy computer lab, tidy lounge area, tidy kitchen, take out trash and recycling, open and close blinds, turn off the lights, lock up office, and occasionally dust and vacuum office.
