Mario Cerna

Honduran journalist pursuing a PhD on Communications & Sciences Information. Founder of hondurasverifica.org a fact checking media. He lectured digital and data journalism at the Honduras National University and at Unitec University. He has a masters degree in international affairs (UNICAH, 2009), and a masters in digital journalism (Intajour, Germany, 2013). He has collaborated in research projects with the American University, Brooklyn College, Insight Crime, Internews and the IWPR. Some of his latest researches are focus on disinformation, online violence and mass media ecosystems in Honduras. Mario received in 2005 an Honorable Mention Prize from the Inter American Press Association
