Work Experience

Co-op Engineer at Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc.

Semester 2: Worked in Body Shop maintenance. Gained experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD 2015. Major project included drawing designs for workshops in new body shop (layout, mechanical, and electrical), bidding out the project to contractors, and eventually coordinating the installation of these workshops. Gained exposure working with and programming KUKA robots. Contributed to planning and coordinating both summer shutdown and weekend work. Semester 1: Worked in Plant 2 specializing in the assembly of the GLE, GLS, and GLE Coupe models. Served in a role between both quality and production teams solving recurring problems throughout the assembly process. Created a new system for the problem solving process that was implemented after I went back to school. Achieved a 94/100 on my final evaluation, one of the highest co-op grades given.
