I, Mary Burkett (previously Mary Lowder), have my B.A. in Literacy Studies from Roanoke College, and my M.A. in Community and Economic Development from Western Illinois University. Throughout my career I've worked as ESOL instructor, case manager, employment specialist, and most recently as Volunteer Coordinator at a Community Based Literacy Organization (CBLO) in southwest Virginia. I'm passionate about building connections and collaborations in the community as to provide equitable access to education, employment, and services in the community.
