Robotics Living Learning Community

The First Robotics LLC is a co-ed themed housing option for up to 20 freshman and sophomore students who are interested in working on robotics related activities while living with other students who have a similar interest. This robotics-oriented LLC allows lower-level FIRST Robotics LLC members to work with experienced upper-level FIRST Robotics LLC members to provide more effective mentoring to local K-12 students involved in theNorthern New York Robotics Academy (NNYRA) outreach efforts.

Board of Director - Secretary at Virtual Society for Historic Preservation

The Virtual Society for Historical Preservation (VSHP) is dedicated to uniting e-athletes, historians, museums, and historical preservation groups, with the purpose of presenting and preserving historical periods of contention and major societal movements, through virtual platforms such as video games, virtual reality, and internet-based exhibitions & displays.

3D Models for California State Military Museums Program, California Military Department

Mr. Duver shares some insight into his methodology of accurately depicting a macro artifact in a 3D environment. "This 3D model was created using the modeling software Blender. The research material for this model was from blueprints, technical manuals, and training videos specifically pertaining to the GPF. Static images from these sources could be imported into the software where the 3d model could be superimposed over them. This allowed me to create an as accurate as possible model with small details and dimensions taken into account. My next task for this model will be to texture it. This will allow me to make the model have the same paint job accurate as those used on U.S. coastal batteries during World War II. "

Virtual Society for Historic Preservation Photo Colorization

"In Partnership with the California State Military Museums Program, California Military Department, and the Jewish American Military Historical Society, we are implementing different technologies to help espouse their collection's stories. One of our first examples of work is of Tibor Rubin upon his repatriation from 2 ½ years in captivity from a Chinese Prisoner of War camp, which has been colorized by Matthew Duver of Clarkson University (CS Major) and sits on the VSHP Board of Directors. CPL Rubin is one of more than 3,500 Recipients who have received the Congressional Medal Of Honor. The Medal of Honor is awarded sparingly and is only bestowed to the bravest of the brave; Their courage, honor, and valor must be well documented."
