I'm Marianne Morgan, freshman, an LSAMP scholar with a love for animals. I graduated from Fairfield High School and Butler Tech. My love for animals started around the time I was 5 with my first dog, Sho. He was a pit-bull and when we would take him to his vet, I was always interested into what they did. Leading into high school I started my career plan which was by going to Butler Tech to get a jumpstart into my future.

Work Experience

Animal Care Attendant at Puppywood Pet Resort

Supervised pets in small and large group setting in dog daycare.
Took dogs on individual potty breaks if they were dog aggressive.
Made sure all tasks were completed while sometimes assisting lead groomer if needed.

Took care of dogs and cats within the boarding facility.

Ensured all tasks were completed for pets who were boarding and those in daycare.

Supervised pets in small and big group settings while also allowing them individual time when applicable.

My Job At Pet Suites of America

This mini video was made for my Work- Based Learning Fall Showcase 2023 with Jasmine Greene. My coworker and I presented this at Butler Tech Natural Science Center. In this presentation we discussed the work and care we have for our furry friends that were boarding. To make our presentation stand out I made a mini video to show how much fun it is taking care of the pets there.

My poem is about what I went through during my high school experience. During my sophomore year my parents decided to get an divorce. I went through dark times with anxiety and depression and writing poems were my let out.
