May, 29 2020 - Verified by University of North GeorgiaI check in parts from vendors as they arrive by matching part numbers on the box to the part numbers on the invoice given to me. Parts are then unboxed and inspected for damages. If damages are present and can be fixed by the technician then I call the vendor to get repair time credits. Parts are handed out to each individual technician and mirror matched to the parts originally on the vehicle. Other responibilities include: invoicing parts in CCC1, calling vendors for Credit Memos for returned parts, keeping the parts department organized and clean, calling and ordering parts for repair orders.
I worked as a Parts Department Associate. When vehicle parts would come in, I would inspect them for damages, match part numbers on invoices to the part number on the box, mirror match the part to the vehicle, and communicate with technicians. I would also use CCC1 a computer program to upload invoices, recreate estimates, and order parts electronically.
I was a front end cashier for about 2 weeks before I became certified as a Photo Lab Specialist and a Beauty Department Consultant. In the Photo Lab, we would print not only digital photos but we also developed 35mm rolls of film and created passport photos for customers. In Beauty, my responsibilities were to scan for lows and outs, demonstrate makeup techniques, and give recommendations to customers.
I was a Sales Associate, Cashier, Balloon Counter Specialist, and an Inscribe member. My responsibilities were; sales, cashiering, cleaning the front end, completing preorders for balloon bouquets, using our computers to print and create invitations for special events that customers ordered. Inscribe was a section of our store in which a different computer system was used to design and create special invitations for customers. We would have to design, print, and package all invitations for each order. Custom banners were also created there. During Halloween, I was a makeup specialist where I would do demonstrations for customers of all our makeup supplies in order to educate them on proper use and removal.
