Michael Juby

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa in the early hours of July 30th, 1993, Michael J. Juby has always aspired to create. As a child his favorite toys were Legos and his erector set. Moving on from Legos to complex aeronautical models, Michael eventually found him self-forming the hobby of building and flying remote controlled airplanes. Throughout elementary, middle, and high school, Michael found mathematics and sciences to be his strong suites, repeatedly ranking at the top of his class in those subjects. His high school career was, however, plagued with medical issues that landed him in and out of doctor's offices and in and out of surgery centers. From the time Michael spent in the presence of medicine, he started to grow an interest in the healthcare system. Following his dreams, Michael graduated from Northwood High School in the top 15% of his class and started studying Biomedical Engineering at Arizona State University in August of 2011. During his first year at Arizona State he joined the Fraternity Phi Gamma Delta in order to heighten his social skills and expand his network. Pursuing his medical aspirations, Michael, enrolled in an Emergency Medical Technician Course and although he was the youngest student in the class, at the age of 18, he completed the course with the highest overall grade. Shortly after receiving his Arizona EMT card, Michael, joined the ranks of a fully functioning, volunteer, expanded scope, basic life support, and paraprofessional Emergency Medical Services organization, Arizona State University Student Emergency Medical Services. Rising through the leadership ranks he became the Deputy Chief of Training by May of 2014. With growing interest in medicine, Michael, designated his B.S.E to include all pre-medical prerequisites. He also began working in Maryvale Emergency Room and Phoenix Baptist Emergency Room as an Emergency Room Scribe in March of 2013.
