Mbulelo Ncube is a South African scholar whose roots span across the rich cultural heritage of Southern Africa. His academic journey began at Georgia College, where he pursued his undergraduate studies with a thirst for knowledge and a passion for understanding the complexities of society. During his time there, he delved into various subjects, perfecting his critical thinking skills and nurturing his intellectual curiosity in Politics, Finance and International Relations.Driven to delve deeper into his studies, Michael has embarked on a new chapter in his academic career at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in South Africa, where he is pursuing his master's degree. At UCT, he continues to engage with rigorous academic inquiry, exploring new perspectives and pushing the boundaries of his understanding of global complexity . With a vision to make meaningful contributions to his society he is heavily immersed in policy and analysis. Michael is hopeful to take the next step in his academic journey by pursuing a Ph.D. at Harvard University or Oxford University. This prestigious opportunity will allow him to expand his knowledge further, collaborate with leading scholars, and contribute to cutting-edge research in his areas of interest which range from policy to development. Beyond academia, Michael is deeply committed to fostering cultural understanding and promoting social justice. He actively seeks to bridge divides, celebrate diversity, and advocate for positive change in his communities. A central focus of Mbulelos work lies in advancing South Africas Just Energy Transition (JET). Recognising the urgent need for equitable, climate-conscious development pathways, he examines how policy frameworks, institutional designs, and financing models can be leveraged to support an inclusive transition away from carbon-intensive systems. His work emphasizes not only the socio-economic dimensions of decarbonization such as labour protection, community resilience, and energy access but also the strategic scaling up of climate solutions across Africa. Through this, he aims to contribute to a future in which sustainability, justice, and economic opportunity reinforce one another rather than compete
