Michael Schultz

Hello, my name is Michael Schultz, I am a NucMed Student, product of Tri-C & University of Findlay. I have learned how to perform all morning QC and do many imagining studies on seven different cameras (Phillips: Brightview SPECT/CT, Ingenuity PET/CT, TF-64, & the TF-64 Big Bore. Siemens: Symbia SPECT, Orbiter, E-cam. I honestly enjoy doing morning QC, even the Hot Lab Duties (D.C. Constancy, Thyroid Uptake/Well counter, doing wipes for packages & checking packages in, Victoreen/ or GM Meter QC, imputing fridge temp, doing weekly wipes, and evening area surveys). I enjoy working with cancer patients, I suppose it's stems from losing my mother to small cell lung cancer. I just believe in providing a positive, upbeat and yet a calming demeanor to my patients, and as a clinical student I have received many compliments for it. I worked in the logistics field for 14 years. Starting firstly as a part time worker at UPS, unloading trucks, package cars, and transporting irregular shaped or weighted material to their prospective doors for reloading. To then became a commercial truck driver in the year of 2002, where I worked as a dedicated driver delivering cabinetry to my customer's. In February of 2007 I became an owner operator, where I successfully operated my own business for three and a half years. In June of 2010 I decided to give up my business for a more stable lifestyle and became a truck parker for Beverage distributors. In June of 2013 I accepted a cadets position in Cleveland EMS's Emergency Medical Dispatcher Academy where I successfully acquired my license in Emergency Medical Dispatch. After a brief stay with the City of Cleveland I realized that I am best suited with working in direct patient care, at which point I went back to college where I am now, seeking my Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine.
