Michael Walker

Majoring in Business Accounting, Cma
Coastal Carolina University, Class of 2025
From Covington, GA
I was born and raised in Conyers Georgia out of Rockdale County Hospital on March 15, 1996. I never really gave school my all until I found purpose in it, which was around 10th grade in High School, it was my MCJROTC class. I was speaking to a recruiter and I took the ASVAB unknowingly what the test was for just to get out of class. I graduated in 2016 and immediately was sent off for boot camp. My job during my time in the Marines was Supply Administration, 3043 was the MOS code, where I dealt a lot with budgeting and handling purchase requests. I got out of the Marines around June 2020 and by March 2021 I enlisted into the Army as a 74D, CBRN Specialist. I got out of the Army around November 2022 after having surgery on both of my legs. I attended a few VA benefit classes and that's when I hand picked CCU as my college and made a few calls and they made it happen. I applied myself and made things happen and I am glad the transition is good and have the grades to reflect. Hard work truly pays off.
