January, 30 2023 - Verified by Georgia State UniversityFifteen hours a week, I was lead programmer on an educational game project, where I divided labor among employees to quickly develop features. Additionally, I practiced conflict-resolution strategies, such as establishing coding conventions and version control workflow. Ultimately, working as a team leader has taught me stronger leadership strategies.
The first six weeks of this internship were spent working on a game called Splash with a team of six other programmers, artists, and game designers. Following Splash, I worked on Escape the Darkness (ETD), a 2D stealth platformer. These projects help me become familiar with productive teamwork, and programming patterns, resulting in higher-quality code and a better-organized end product.
I coached young swimmers, helping them improve their techniques by doing stroke progressions, utilizing my insight as swimmer to help teach better.
