Kim Tully Memorial Scholarship -- I received the Kim Tully Memorial Scholarship my Senior year of high school. The award is given to a senior on the varsity softball team every year. I was chosen by my teammates to receive the award.

Substitute/Paraprofessional at 21st-Century Project Pirate Summer Program
I worked four days a week as a paraprofessional/substitute, doing any- and everything my superiors needed me to do, from teaching an Ultimate Frisbee class, to teaching students, who were held back and attending the program to advance into their appropriate grade-level, how to write formal essays.

I was available to stand in for teachers who were absent, and kept their classes on schedule. I helped prevent interruptions in the students’ daily academic routine. I worked every day I was not attending school due to the fact that I woke up early and got ready every morning in case the school called. I was available incessantly, and the school secretaries knew they could count on me.

Substitute/Paraprofessional at 21st-Century Project Pirate After-School Program
Three days a week, I taught music to elementary and middle school students who attended the after-school program in Miller County. I also filled in for other teachers/paraprofessionals when they were unable to make it to work.
