As a previous recipient of occupational therapy services in physical rehabilitation, I understand the importance of client-centered care in our profession, especially with regards to comprehensive care. During my clinical experiences, I have collaborated with a variety of disciplines to ensure communication on a holistic level for patient care. When meeting a patient for the first time, I establish rapport with the patient to guide a client-centered practice, and to ensure they have autonomy in their intervention plan.
