Mark Plunkett

Majored in Biology
Miami University , Class of 2018
From Cincinnati, Ohio
I earn a living as a senior workforce manager for a large multinational corporation in Cincinnati. When I am not busy earning a living, I work with my wife creating native habitat for birds and pollinators around our home and volunteering with the horticulture team at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. My journey along this path to a degree actually began 10 years ago when my wife encouraged me to join her in becoming a certified Ohio Master Gardener. That course, and the volunteer work that flowed out of it started an inquiry process that just hasn't quit. I am fascinated by the relationship between wildlife (especially birds and pollinators) and native plants and have built my master plan and directed most of my research and activities during this degree program around this interest.
