I'm a Sociology major at Coker University with a concentrated focus in Criminology. Im a proud member of Tri-Alpha, the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), Alpha Phi Sigma (the National Criminal Justice Honor Society), and a participant in the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Program. Its not just about academics; its about being seen, supported, and empowered while navigating higher education as a first-gen student. As a mom, I've learned how to juggle a full plate while staying grounded in my education and purpose. Balancing motherhood and college hasnt been easy, but its taught me strength, structure, and resilience. I plan to use my education and lived experience to advocate for families like mine, whether thats through policy, outreach, or support services. For me, this degree is more than a personal achievement; its a promise to my children to show them what perseverance looks like, and a step toward creating real, lasting change.

I'm so proud to share that Ive been accepted into the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) Program at Coker University as a first-generation college student. This means a great deal to me, not just because of what the program offers, but also because of what it represents. TRIO provides students like me with extra support through tutoring, mentoring, counseling, and workshops that help us stay on track and grow. Its more than just resources; its a community that understands how hard it can be to walk a path no one in your family has walked before. Im grateful for the opportunity, and Im excited to keep pushing forward, not just for myself, but for those coming after me.

National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS)
I'm honored to share that I've been inducted into the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) at Francis Marion University. NSLS is the nation's largest leadership honor society, and our chapter, established in August 2022, is now the biggest student organization on campus with over 300 active members. Through this program, I completed leadership training that focused on goal-setting, teamwork, resilience, and inclusion. I also had the chance to learn from inspiring speakers. Being a part of NSLS has helped me grow both personally and academically. It's strengthened my voice as a leader and connected me with others who are passionate about making a difference. I'm truly grateful for the experience and excited to carry these skills into everything I do next.
