Nathaniel Adcock

I am a senior Exercise Science major at Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. I will be graduating in December of 2016 and looking to enter a Doctorate of Physical Therapy school. I have experience in fitness, youth work, and sports instruction. My interests and hobbies have been in the area of fitness and exercise science for some time. What started as a hobby has turned into schooling, a future career path, and a passion. I have found that my personality is one that desires interaction with people and for the caring of them. In combining these characteristics of my personality it is what has led me to the area of physical therapy. My current experience in observing physical therapy environments has confirmed my understanding of myself. My experience has shown me something that I would love to do for the rest of my working life. While in my undergraduate I have been on the dean's list every semester and the president's list two semesters. My overall GPA is at a 3.66 and my major classes GPA is a 3.8. I have experience in classes like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy and Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics (in progress), Motor learning, Medical Terminology, and much more. Currently, I am also doing an internship for a class that requires 240 hours of experience. As part of this internship I help out and observe at two different PT clinics. My internship is taking place at VBS Physical Therapy in Taylors and Mauldin, South Carolina. I also have had experience in three other Physical therapy environments. City Center Rehab, St. Margarets (acute inpatient), and Accelerated Physical Therapy totaling in 120 hours.
