Neal Carnes

I bring two decades professional experience and an academic background in the social dynamics of health and well-being (prevention is the goal, treatment is the necessity). I began my career as a direct service provider in an HIV prevention and education setting. I then accepted a life changing opportunity in clinical trials at UCSF's Center for AIDS Prevention Studies. During my tenure at UCSF I learned the work environment can be a family environment. I extended this understanding in my position at Luther Consulting, LLC where I continued building upon a socially connected and supportive approach to my work. Currently I am completing a PhD in Sociology with a concentration in sexuality and health. I anticipate completing my dissertation considering the lived experiences of queer-identified people and their communities. We live in this world together, let us remember one another along the path.
